A brief introduction to Red Dirt Alert
The concept is simple.
When the dirt is turning, something is happening! At one point in time, we have all wondered what was going on when a new piece of land is turned over and development starts on a new project. This is where we coined the name, Red Dirt Alert. We wanted something catchy and easy to remember—a phrase that would alert people to the fact that something new was coming to a specific site or area of interest. “Red Dirt” generally means new opportunities for advantageous sales representatives and businesses alike.
Red Dirt Alert is your partner in keeping up with these new business opportunities in the GSA area (Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson). On a daily basis RDA utilizes its resources to dig up the information on these potential business leads within the Upstate business community. Then RDA compiles the data and enters it on the website on a daily basis. It’s that simple.
Who’s behind the Dirt?
Patrick Van Every - President and Founder
Red Dirt Alert was founded in 2002 and is owned and operated by Patrick Van Every. Patrick's background is in the waste industry where he was a partner in a local waste management company. Patrick would send out an email to his local network when he delivered a new dumpster to a new job site letting others know what was under construction. He coined the term Red Dirt Alert well before the business idea became a reality. Once he sold his interest in the waste company, he created a focus group of sales representatives and business owners to figure out how to make Red Dirt Alert a business.
Patrick was named to the Best and Brightest Under 35 by Greenville Magazine in 2001 and has been an active volunteer in the Upstate of SC. Patrick has lived with his wife and family in the Upstate since 1998 and is proud to call SC home.
